GLADSTONE — The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts department of Gladstone is offering American Red Cross group swim lessons.

Indoor swim lesson registration is available in-person at the Gladstone Community Center, 6901 N. Holmes St., or over the phone at 423-4200.

There are Saturday morning lessons. Most lessons are 40 minutes in length unless otherwise noted.

The Parent Tots class is for children 6 months to 3 years old. Parents participate in the water during these lessons. The class provides water orientation for both parent and child through water adjustment activities that emphasize fun and water safety.

Aqua Tots is for children 3 to 5 years of age. Participants learn through games that incorporate basic water skills.

The introduction to water skills, or Level I swim lessons, is for kids 5 to 14 years of age. The beginner swimming class helps participants with elementary skills that can be built on as they progress.
