The Northland Health Alliance offers a series of informational lunch-and-learn webinars designed for individuals and organizations that work with those dealing with food insecurities.
The series is designed for social workers, teachers, health care professionals, food pantry volunteers or anyone interested in expanding their knowledge to help Northland community members.
During these sessions, participants will learn about the history and benefits of programs that promote healthier communities; participant guidelines and eligibility requirements; and strategies to address misconceptions and reduce stigma.
From noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, the series will look at the Women, Infants and Children feeding program and will be hosted by Lori Miller, WIC Program manager with Clay County Public Health Center.
Another session from noon to 1 p.m. March 14 will look at free and reduced school lunch programs and will be hosted by Melissa Wolf, nutrition services department administrative assistant for Park Hill School District.
