The Smithville Bassmasters have announced their 2025 tournament schedule. The fishing club is also extending invites to new members to join in “for the camaraderie of competitive fishing.”
The 2025 season kicks off with a tournament at Stockton Lake, March 15 to 16 at the RB Boat Ramp. <n> Prospective members can find a 2025 new member application at www.smithvillebassmasters.com.
The 2025 tournament schedule is:
• March 15 and 16, Stockton Lake, RB Ramp;
• April 6, Smithville Lake, Paradise Point Ramp;
• May 3 and 4,Truman Lake, Long Shoal Ramp:
• May 3, Lake of the Ozarks, Drake Harbor Ramp;
• June 1, Truman Lake, Long Shoal Ramp;
• June 29, Smithville Lake, Paradise Point Ramp;
• July 19, Mozingo Lake ,City Ramp (counts as one with July 20);
• July 20, Smithville Lake, Paradise Park Ramp (counts as one with July 19);
• Aug. 16 and 17, Truman Lake (Day 1 at Shawnee Bend Ramp, Day 2 at Long Shoal Ramp);
• Sept. 20, Smithville Lake, Paradise Point Ramp (Charitable benefit family-friendly tournament); and
• Oct. 25 and 26, Club Championship, Stockton Lake, RB Ramp.
As one of the largest and fastest-growing bass fishing clubs in the Kansas City metro area, the Missouri BASS Nation-affiliated Smithville Bassmasters offers members the chance to qualify for the Bassmaster Classic, the “Super Bowl of bass fishing,” according to a press release.
“We welcome new members, no matter their skill level,” said longtime member Marshall Brown, in a press release. “I guarantee you’ll learn something new at every tournament.”
Boaters are randomly paired with non-boaters/co-anglers at the club’s meeting prior to each event.
“Everyone is so nice and accommodating,” shared recent new member David Merry Jr. “I’ve made new friends and increased my love for bass fishing.”
“What I truly enjoy the most is going out of town for tournaments,” claims member Tom Carlin. “The camaraderie is great, and it’s my chance to unwind from life’s challenges for a few days.”
