NORTH KANSAS CITY — Since receiving the diagnosis for Parkinson’s disease in August of 2023, Mike Reichert has stayed active and become more involved with playing pickleball. Picking up a paddle and partaking in the sport has been a supportive tool in managing the symptoms.
“The movement helps,” Reichert said. “You can go at your own pace and play at your own level with pickleball.”
Reichert will be playing in NKC Health’s Pickleball for Parkinson’s clinic and tournament at Chicken N Pickle, 1761 Burlington St., from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 30.
NKC Health invites individuals with Parkinson’s disease to a special pickleball clinic and mini tournaments.
