Northland Shepherd’s Center seeks volunteers

GLADSTONE — The Northland Shepherd’s Center seeks volunteers to help with several programs within the nonprofit.

Each weekday, Northland Shepherd’s Center volunteers donate time and talents to fulfill a variety of needs in an array of programs such as transportation drivers, handy helpers, Phone Pals, Meals on Wheels, Plate of Hope Food Pantry, fundraiser support and administrative support.

Volunteer opportunities are flexible to each person’s schedule, according to the organization.

Currently, transportation is in high demand. Volunteers provide clients rides to medical appointments, the grocery store, pharmacy, bank and other errands.

In the area of program support, volunteers can also share their expertise by leading an Aging with Excellence or a wellness class. They can also provide office help or technology support. Special projects include helping coordinate community fundraisers or social events.
