Rehearsals begin on Monday, Aug. 19 for the Northland Community Choir. The event begins with a potluck at 6 p.m. at Parkville Presbyterian Church, 819 Main St.
The first meeting will include registration for the new season, discussion about the first concert on Nov. 24 and introduce the new artistic director.
Robert Stubbs is a master’s student in choral conducting at the University of Missouri-Kansas City,. Prior to moving to Kansas City, he was director of music at All Souls Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C., where he led a choir of both professional and volunteer singers for seven years. He was also organist and associate director of choral music at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia during that time. He earned his bachelor and master of music degrees in organ performance from Westminster Choir College and Indiana University.
