NORTH KANSAS CITY — Starting June 12, North Kansas City Hospital and Meritas Health are united as one brand, NKC Health.
For nearly 70 years, patients and communities have known North Kansas City Hospital and Meritas Health.
“But over time, we’ve become more than just a hospital — expanding services and specialties, leading innovation to advance treatment and moving forward to meet patients where they are,” shares the hospital release.
As NKC Health, the unified brand reflects “now, as well as where we’re going as an independent health system committed to shaping the future of care,” per the release.
“From the very beginning, we’ve held a simple yet powerful belief: to provide hope and healing to every life we touch,” said Stephen Reintjes Sr., MD, president and CEO of NKC Health. “Our new brand is a celebration of the incredible dedication of our team, now united. We share a bold commitment to seek better answers and to honor the trust placed in us by those we impact. We’re creating a new path for healthcare, not just for today, but for generations to come.”
The NKC Health brand honors the legacy while signaling a forward focus, ensuring close alignment with the values and the values of those served.
“We’ve listened closely to how our brand, culture and values are perceived,” said Kristen Guillaume, vice president, chief digital and information officer of NKC Health. “Through thoughtful research, we developed a new brand that better represents us as one system and empowers patients to easily recognize that whether in the hospital or at the clinics, they’re cared for by the same trusted team.”
The brand transition will take course over the next year.
