North Kansas City district holds meetings for interested school board candidates

The North Kansas City School District is holding a School Board University Nov. 16 and Nov. 19.

The event is designed for those interested in becoming a school board member. The meeting will include information about serving on the board of education, member responsibilities, time commitments plus the legal requirements for filing for office.

The meetings are 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19. Both will be at the NKC Schools’ central office Doolin board room, 1900 NE 46th St.
