National Drug Take Back Day coming to Northland Saturday

CLAY COUNTY — Several law enforcement groups participate in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications, according to the DEA.

Unwanted and expired prescription and over-the-counter medication can be dropped off. Clay County Sheriff’s Office Drug Squad members will be at Liberty Hospital, 2525 Glenn Hendren Drive.

The Kansas City Police Department North Patrol Division at 11000 NW Prairie View Road is also participating.
