Missouri Highway Patrol still searching for armed suspect

KANSAS CITY — The Missouri Highway Patrol is still searching for a suspect that fired shots at another driver on southbound Interstate 29 near Vivion Road Thursday, March 6.

According to the highway patrol, one vehicle was struck by gunfire and no injuries were reported.

Police and highway patrol officers searched a wooded area of I-29 in the Gladstone area on Thursday as authorities initially believed the suspect ran on foot into a nearby tree line, but the patrol is now reporting that the suspect got into a white Mercedes passenger vehicle.
