The Climate and Environment Council at Mid America Regional Council seeks new members.
The council, as described by MARC, is a collaborative, action-oriented committee that guides the implementation of the Kansas City Regional Climate Action Plan. This committee is jointly supported by MARC and Climate Action KC.
The membership of the CEC includes 25 to 30 individuals who collectively represent the Kansas City region with a diversity of viewpoints, backgrounds and expertise. Individuals on the council promote the interests of the entire region.
To be considered for CEC membership, applicants must be a resident of Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte or Ray counties in Missouri or Johnson, Leavenworth, Miami or Wyandotte counties in Kansas. New members will serve a two-year term starting in January 2025. CEC meets on the fourth Friday of each month at 9 a.m. in the MARC Board Room located at 600 Broadway St. in Kansas City.
