NORTH KANSAS CITY — Life Unlimited is hosting its first 5K and 1-mile walk as the official kickoff to Snake Saturday festivities in North Kansas City.
The family-friendly event starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 15 and supports Life Unlimited’s mission to empower adults with disabilities and foster a community where everyone belongs.
The race begins at 320 Armour Road.
According to organizers, the “course is fast and flat, ideal for all fitness levels.” There will also be entertainment and refreshments.
Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate.
Before the race, there will be fresh coffee and treats from local vendors. At the end of the race, participants will receive a medal, T-shirt and gifts from the event sponsors. There will also be a DJ, vendor booths and a beer garden.
“This race is more than just a run. It’s a celebration of inclusion, community, and support for people of all abilities. We invite everyone to lace up their running shoes and join us for an unforgettable morning of fun and impact,” said Nathan Spencer, race organizer and director of facilities & maintenance.
