CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting resurfacing operations on northbound and southbound Missouri Route 1 between Indiana Avenue to 72nd Street resulting in various lane closures beginning between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday, March 10 until Monday, March 31. Work is weather permitting.

This work is a part of corridor improvements taking place on Route 1.

Upgrades will include pavement rebuilding, a new storm sewer, culvert restorations and an extension of Happy Rock Trail.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
