NORTH KANSAS CITY — The Kansas City Chamber of Commerce certified North Kansas City Hospital and Meritas Health staff as Platinum Level Healthy KC for a fourth time, according to a hospital press release. The award is given every two years. The hospital and health organization were previously recognized in 2018, 2020 and 2022.
Certification is based on the World Health Organization’s Healthy Workplaces Framework and is designed to make Kansas City a healthier place to live and work. Entrants are judged against four pillars: nutrition, physical fitness, tobacco and mindfulness/whole person.
“Just as we strive to serve the health of Northland residents, we want to ensure our own staff are able to practice good health,” said Dawn Bryant, vice president of human resources. “I am pleased the KC Chamber continues to recognize our hard work providing healthy options to our workforce.”
