Gladstone’s Dunkin’ Dogs Aug. 24

GLADSTONE — It’s time again for Dunkin’ Dogs, the annual event that allows dogs to swim in the outdoor community pool. The pool will be open to four-legged friends Saturday, Aug. 24.

Small dogs under 30 pounds will be able to swim from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

There are two sessions for dogs over 30 pounds: 10:30 a.m. to noon and noon to 1:30 p.m.

During the dog summer swim event, two dogs maximum per person will be allowed. All dogs must be supervised by an adult. Dogs should also be in good health and sociable with other dogs and people. Those with aggressive dogs will be asked to leave.

Owners must present a current rabies certificate for each dog to participate. No people will be allowed in the pool with the dogs. Dogs must be on a leash outside of the designated play area and owners must clean up after their dogs.

Each session will be limited to 100 total dogs.

Children in attendance under the age of 10 must also be supervised by an adult.

Event day registration and check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. Gates will open at 8:45 a.m.

A waiver must be signed by the dog owner, 18 years of age or older, for a dog to enter the gate. Registration and cost information can be found at gladstone.mo.us/ CommunityCenter.
