Gladstone mayor presents charity checks, approves ambulance chassis purchase

GLADSTONE — The latest Gladstone City Council Meeting began with Mayor Tina Spallo presenting three checks totaling approximately $16,000 to Feed Northland Kids, Gladstone Neighbors Helping Neighbors and the Northland Christmas Store from money raised by the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Fund.

The council also approved putting a stop sign at the northeast corner of the intersection at Northeast 62nd Place and North Main Street.

Additionally, the council passed a resolution for the purchase of a 2026 Chevrolet G4500 ambulance chassis from American Response Vehicles and to remount an ambulance body/module onto the chassis.

The council also authorized a contract with Fleshman Construction for the Northeast 76th Terrace Storm Drainage and Parking Improvements.

Through the consent agenda, the council approved an agreement with Severeid and Associates for right-of-way appraisal services in conjunction with the Downtown Gladstone North Oak Street Improvement.
