GLADSTONE — Gladstone Mayor Tina Spallo, Gladstone City Council members along with Kansas City Council members will unite at 2 p.m. Monday, April 7 for the groundbreaking of the new dog park, located near Happy Rock Park on the northeast corner of Northeast Antioch Road and Northeast 76th Street.
This new development is a joint endeavor between the city of Gladstone and the city of Kansas City. The five-acre park will include separately fenced areas for small and large dogs, water stations, and doggie waste stations.
City staff said, in a press release, the park is designed to be a recreational outlet for owners that want to exercise and socialize their dogs in a safe, leash-free environment.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be at the site.
Members of the community and their dogs, on a leash, are invited to attend the groundbreaking.
