GLADSTONE — At the Nov. 11 Gladstone City Council meeting, council members approved a contract with Linaweaver Construction for the FY25 Water Main Replacements Project. Linaweaver Construction will also work on the Linden Connector Trail.
The council also passed an ordinance amending Title III, Chapter 30, of offenses against public peace and safety, by adding a section to address human waste.
The council also adopted mission and vision statements as well as goals for the city for 2025.
Additionally, the council authorized the city manager to execute an application for federal assistance through the Land & Water Conservation Fund Program for renovation of Flora Park.
Through the consent agenda, the council approved:
• a tow and wrecker service agreement with Glad Rents for vehicle towing, wrecker, and vehicle storage services for a five-year period from Jan. 1, 2025 through Dec. 31, 2029, with options to extend the agreement for two additional 24-month periods;
• a resolution accepting of a proposal from Traffic Control Systems for the up-fitting of four Ford Explorer Police Interceptor vehicles; and
• accepted the Nov. 5 ballot results and recognized West Central Missouri Regional Lodge No. 50 of the Fraternal Order of Police is no longer the exclusive bargaining representative for the supervisory police unit.
