GLADSTONE — The Gladstone City Council approved the real and personal property tax rates for the year.
The personal property tax rate is unchanged from last year at .9290 cents per $100 of assessed valuation. The council held a public hearing prior to approving the levy rate.
Two proclamations were made by city leaders at the Sept. 23 meeting. The council declared October to be National Code Compliance Month to recognize code enforcement officers.
The week of Sept. 28 to Oct. 4 was also declared Missouri Good Neighbor Week, which is a week that encourages citizens to establish connections with their neighbors.
The council also passed an ordinance amending Schedule VIII of the Model Traffic Code to establish stop sign locations at the northeast and southeast corners of the intersection of North Holmes Street and Northeast 66th Terrace.
