Free virtual classes on native sparrows, house spiders available

The Missouri Department of Conservation will offers two virtual classes for people to learn about sparrows and spiders.

People who want to learn more about native sparrows found in this region can register for the “Birds: Little Brown Birds, Sparrow ID Virtual Program,” being held at 2 p.m. Oct. 15. Register at mdc-event-web.s3licensing.com.

People can learn the names and habits of spiders during the “These Are the Spiders in Your House” program from 1 to 2 p.m. Oct. 19.

This program will focus on the most common spiders that people see in and near homes. The program is open to participants ages 12 and older. Registration is required at mdc-event-web.s3licensing.com.
