NORTH KANSAS CITY — A free festival in North Kansas City’s Macken Park, 3005 Howell St., helping families find fun ways to build healthy habits is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20.

The County Public Health Center will host its 9th annual Family Fun Day event. This event is free and open to everyone in the community including families and children.

There will be 25 local organizations hosting interactive activities and sharing information and resources within the categories of physical activity, nutrition and healthy eating, healthcare, safety, mental health and wellness or education and literacy.

Organized games and activities like an egg and spoon race, giant parachute, kite making and lots more are also planned.

There will also be 30 bikes to raffle off throughout the event.

Three food trucks will be on hand: The Stuffed Mushroom, Chop’s BBQ and Snow & Roast.
