2nd day of Eagle Days postponed to Jan. 11

SMITHVILLE — It’s time for the annual Eagle Days. Events were originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 4 and 5, but due to the pending snow storm, Sunday’s events have been postponed until Saturday, Jan. 11. All events are at Paradise Pointe Golf Course Clubhouse, 18212 Golf Course Drive in Smithville.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11. There will be programs about eagles and other birds of prey from Operation Wildlife volunteers.

Show times on Saturday are 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. On Saturday, Jan. 11, the presentations are at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

There will also be informational booths from Liberty’s Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Sanctuary, Operation Wildlife, Friends of Lakeside Nature Center, Wings of Love, Clay County Parks Department staff and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Locations of eagle viewing stations will be announced at the live eagle program from Operation Wildlife.
