GLADSTONE — Matt Pepper, Curry Real Estate Service’s vice president, has joined the Northland Community Foundation advisory board.
Pepper joins more than a dozen Northland business and community leaders who unite to help guide donors’ philanthropic investment to benefit Clay and Platte County children and families.
Established in 1986, the foundation offers donors the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to their community and to the causes and programs that are most important to them.
According to a press release, the foundation’s advisory board works to decide where to invest those dollars, which is grounded in data about the community’s most significant needs and issues. The organization is building on the opportunities identified in its 2023 Community Needs Assessment to invest philanthropic dollars in the community’s areas of greatest need.
“I am honored to come alongside others on the Northland Community Foundation advisory board as the organization continues to carry out its mission to invest in the health and welfare of our Northland families,” said Pepper. “It is important work, and I am grateful to have this opportunity to participate.”
In previous years, the late Ray Brock and Curry CEO Ellen Todd were recognized with the Northland Community Foundation’s Pinnacle Award given in recognition of those who have demonstrated civic pride, caring and leadership in their contributions of time and treasure.
Pepper, who joined Curry in 2022, previously served on the boards of IREM Kansas City, Northland Neighborhoods, Inc., the Park Hill School District and the Park Hill Education Foundation.
