Clay County leaders along with those leaders from the Clay County Juvenile Office helped break ground on the new juvenile transition visitation facility, located on Shrader Street, across from the Fairview-New Hope Cemetery Monday, May 12.
The facility will primarily be used for the juvenile team who have children in the transitional period between either detention or foster care.
Funding for the building was made possible by a 50-50 split between The Wilson Group, Piper Wind, and C&C Group on one half and American Rescue Plan Act funds allocated for the other. The facility is estimated to cost $675,000.
The facility completion is projected for mid-September of this year.
