GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Area Chamber of Commerce is in search of young boys and girls to represent Gladfest 45 as Little Mr. and Miss Gladfest 2024 and Gladfest Prince and Princess 2024.
Children must be a Northland resident and able to participate in the community pep rally at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Linden Square, 602 NE 70th St. Those aged 3 to 5 will compete for Gladfest Prince and Princess while those 6 to 8 years of age will compete for Little Mr. and Little Miss Gladfest.
The contest will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4. There is no entry fee. The 2023 winners are not eligible to compete.
This year’s theme is “Deep Dive into Gladfest 45” and children are encouraged to dress for the theme. The emcee will ask participants questions and then children are encouraged to recite a poem, nursery rhyme or sing.
The event entry form can be found online at gladstonechamber. com. Entries are due by Sept. 23. Once filled out, mail entries to the Gladstone Chamber office, 6910 N.
