Clay County Senior Property Tax Relief Program enrollment ending soon

CLAY COUNTY — The deadline for seniors to apply for the Clay County Senior Real Estate Property Tax Relief Program is fast approaching, with the enrollment period closing at the end of the month. According to the county, this program has seen “an overwhelming response,” with over 13,000 applications submitted.

Due to the high volume of applications, each submission must be manually entered and reviewed. As a result, some applicants may not receive confirmation of their status until after the deadline. However, those who have applied within the enrollment period should not be discouraged.

“Our team is committed to working through each application to determine eligibility and ensure all qualified applicants receive the benefits they are entitled to,” states the county press release.

Applications can be turned in at the Clay County Administration building, 1 Courthouse Square, Liberty, and the Clay County Annex, 1901 NE 48th St., as these facilities are open to walk-ins so long as they have all their required documents. The online application is also available throughout the month.
