GLADSTONE — Sen. Maggie Nurrenbern will be joined by other Northland state leaders for a legislative town hall meeting Thursday, April 10. The event starts at 6 p.m. at the Mid-Continent Public Library - Antioch Branch, 6060 N. Chestnut, Gladstone.

CLAY COUNTY — Brandon J. Loudermilk, 27, Gladstone, has been charged with first-degree endangering the welfare of a child - death of a child, and drug trafficking. Both are felonies. He has currently been in the Clay County Detention Center since Feb. 1, 2024, on other drug trafficking charges, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon.

Metropolitan Community College leaders, along with the community, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony March 25, to celebrate the opening of the MCC-Maple Woods Agriculture Annex. The event was held on the campus at 2601 N.E. Barry Road, Kansas City.

Katherine A. Donohoe, 48, has been charged with felony aggravated fleeing from a stop, which is a Valentine’s Law violation, and initially was held on a bond of $75,000. On Friday, March 21, there was a bond reduction hearing and the bond was amended to $10,000.
