GLADSTONE — The annual Atkins-Johnson Sunflower 5K Run/ Walk benefiting the Friends of the Atkins-Johnson Farm and Museum and the North Kansas City Schools Education Foundation will begin at 8 a.m. Aug. 24 at the farm, 4109 NE Pleasant Valley Road, Gladstone.

The winter term runs from January to May. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum GPA of 3.7 for the reporting term are named to the president’s list.

In 2023, the Environmental Health Protection Section of Clay County Public Health Center conducted 416 routine recreational water inspections.
