GLADSTONE — The musical “Annie” opened on Broadway in 1977 and has toured many times. The show has been performed in schools and community groups. This summer, it’s going to be on the Gladstone Amphitheater as the first summer show for Gladstone Theatre in the Park.

CLAY COUNTY — Rock out at Shoal Creek Live, 6816 N. Church Road, Pleasant Valley, for a benefit concert May 31 to help Feed Northland Kids. Cedar Falls Rock & Roll Revue will offer up the greatest hits of the 1970s. The revue will offer up a little Fleetwood Mac, Carole King, the Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
For 28 years, the Gladstone Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the city of Gladstone, has worked to bring well-known blues bands to the Northland. These groups are known locally, regionally and internationally.
