Brass Rewind performs Friday in Gladstone

GLADSTONE — Brass Rewind is a premier jazz-rock-dance horn band in Kansas City — showcasing the memorable music of the greats: Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Steely Dan, Blood Sweat & Tears, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, and more.

The band has played in Gladstone previously. They will take the Linden Square stage, 602 NE 70th St., at 7 p.m. Friday, July 18.

The band was founded by Jerry Hooper, keyboards and band leader emeritus.

The band is led by Brother John Anderson on lead vocals. He shares lead vocals responsibilities with PJ Jimmerson.

Colin Wreath plays trombone. Walter Brown and Roman Gonzales play trumpet. Max Levy plays tenor saxophone as does Jacob Schwartzberg. Tate Berry plays alto and bari saxophone.

Tracy Smith plays electric guitar, vocals and serves as bandleader.

Kevin Robinson plays piano and keyboards. Brian Wigton plays bass. Mark Olson plays drums.
