GLADSTONE — Join Mayor Les Smith and Gladstone city council members at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, at 2099 NE 72nd St., for the grand opening of the new pickleball courts.
Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports to hit the courts. This paddle sport created for
all ages and skill levels combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.
The sport continues to thrive in Gladstone, with dozens of enthusiastic players gathering daily at the
Community Center, Meadowbrook Park and now the 72nd Street courts.
After the ceremony, enjoy some play time and tips from local players.
