Sheriff’s office seeks Valentine’s cards

CLAY COUNTY — The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is hoping to appeal to the community for a “feel-good mission” of “smiles to area seniors.”

“We’re collecting handmade or store-bought Valentine’s cards to deliver to local nursing homes and assisted living facilities across the county. Whether you are part of a school, day care, business, church or are just a kindhearted individual, we want you to participate by making out a card to a senior,” shared the sheriff’s office on Facebook.

The deadline to drop off cards is Feb. 3. Cards can be dropped off at 27 S. Main St. in Liberty from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday or at the County Administration Building, 1 Courthouse Square, Liberty, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
