Oakhill Day School celebrates Heroes’ Day

GLADSTONE — Oakhill Day School celebrated its annual Heroes’ Day on Sept. 11, honoring everyday heroes who make contributions to the local community. From medical professionals to law enforcement officers, other public safety personnel and military members, this event offers an opportunity for Oakhill students to express their gratitude to those who serve and protect.

The day began with a morning reception in the Commons, where guests had breakfast while connecting with members of the Oakhill community. The celebration continued with the Panther Party school assembly in the gym. Heroes were seated in a place of honor and recognized for their service and contributions to the local community.

“We were incredibly honored to host our Fourth Annual Heroes’ Day and provide a platform for our students to personally thank the heroes who make a difference in their lives,” said Tim Ziegler, early childhood and lower school director at Oakhill Day School. “It was a memorable day of connection and appreciation as our students gained valuable insight into the importance of service and leadership in their community.”
