Family Fun Day Saturday

CLAY COUNTY — From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, Clay County Public Health Center will host its annual Family Fun Day in Macken Park, located in North Kansas City at 1002 Clark Ferguson Drive. This event is free and open to the public.

Health center spokesman Kelsey Neth said the day will be one of fun for families with children.

“Previous events have had over 300 participants, but this year is set to be our biggest and best event yet,” she wrote in a statement to media.

This year’s event includes more than 45 local organizations hosting activities and sharing information on family health resources; a variety of performances on the pavilion stage including yoga and feats of strength demonstrations; raffle prizes to help families live healthier lives like sports equipment, cooking tools and appliances; balloon and glitter tattoo artists; and food trucks.

“All booths will be covering topics like physical activity, nutrition and healthy eating, safety, mental health and wellness, education and literacy, health care resources and more,” states the public health center’s website.

Those in attendance who collect stamps from nine different stations will earn an extra raffle ticket. Learn more at clayhealth. com/341/Family-Fun-Day.
