GLADSTONE — The Big Shoal Farm Sunflower Field Festival is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Big Shoal Farm, 4125 NE 64th St. in Gladstone. The event is free and open to the public.
Additional parking is available in the Atkins-Johnson Museum parking lot located at 4109 NE Pleasant Valley Road. The field is located a short walk from the museum.
During the festival, visitors can pick their sunflowers available for purchase or buy pre-cut arrangements. There will also be photo opportunities, children’s arts and crafts, games, a bouncehouse, art fair showcasing sunflowers and sunflower baked goods for purchase.
“Come and spend some time walking through the sunflowers. Enjoy the beauty of the sunflowers up close with the family,” Big Shoal Farm manager Eugene Suter said.
The sunflower fields are open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays until the end of August.
