CLAY COUNTY — A winter storm watch for Clay County has been issued and remains in effect until 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11.
According to the National Weather Service, parts of Clay County, including Gladstone, Liberty and Kansas City, are expected to see dangerous travel conditions Friday, Jan. 10, through Saturday.
“Travel could be very difficult,” states a storm watch release. “Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches and ice accumulations of around two-tenths of an inch possible.”
Portions of north central, northeast, northwest and west central Missouri are expected to be the most impacted areas in Missouri.
Clay County first response agencies urge caution and remind residents to not travel if possible.
