Due to COVID-19, Gladstone’s spring beautification event has been rescheduled for Sept.18-20. This is an opportunity for Gladstone residents to dispose of large items. Yard waste, freon containing appliances, liquids and hazardous waste will not be accepted at this event. Drop-off is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Happy Rock Park, 7600 NE Antioch Road.

There will be a nominal charge for tire disposal. Proof of residency is required. Shredding will be available Saturday, Sept. 19 as Midwest Shredding Service will bring locked containers onsite during the event.

The half-price fall brush drop-off is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6 through Sunday, Nov. 8 at the Public Works Facility, 4000 NE 76th St. All containers, including bags, must be emptied. The three-day event is for Gladstone residents only and a proof of residency will be required.
