UPDATE: Alex Bonner has been located deceased in Fort Scott, Kansas, from apparent natural causes.
KANSAS CITY — Police in Kansas City issued a Silver Alert for missing 90-year-old Alex Bonner.
According to a police release, Bonner left his residence in the 6200 block of South Benton Avenue on Thursday, Jan. 7, after telling a caretaker he was going to attend a funeral in Kansas City.
A Kansas City police release states Bonner's family was able to get a location ping on a digital device on Interstate 35 in Lenexa, Kansas, but the device has since gone dead.
Bonner has dementia and a heart condition and requires medications, which he does not have with him, according to police.
Bonner was driving a white 2014 Buick Lacrosse with Missouri license plate GD0-U9T.
Anyone who has seen Bonner or his vehicle is asked to call 911 or Kansas City police at 234-5170.
