From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday through Sunday, Nov. 1 to 3 residents may dispose of brush and yard waste at the Public Works Facility, 4000 NE 76th Street. All containers including bags must be emptied. This is a half-price event for Gladstone residents, proof of residency will be required.
Now through Nov. 2, the Atkins-Johnson Farm and Museum, 4109 NE Pleasant Valley Road, hosts the “All Hallows Eve: Halloween History and Traditions.” This exhibition is a special exhibition that examines the rich history, traditions and symbolism of Halloween and invites visitors to explore Halloween’s not-so-spooky past. Take a closer look at rare and usual Halloween costumes, decorations and masks.
Jacob Black, Eric Vallier, Nick Scott, and Mick Rice Hall will be performing at 8 p.m. at Groundhog Day Theater, 6906 N Oak Trafficway. Admission is $10 and designed for those 18 and older. Get stage time, try out new material, or just come for the laughs in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Sign up at 9:30 p.m. with the show starting at 10 p.m. The event is hosted by Hilary Hope.

The Gladstone Kiwanis Club will hold a pancake breakfast 8 to 11 a.m. at Gashland United Methodist Church, 7715 N. Oak Trafficway. Tickets are $8 and may be purchased at the door.
