Starting at 7 p.m., Sounds on the Square features the Phillip Michaels Band. All concerts begin at 7 p.m. at Linden Square, 602 N. 70th St. Patrons are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating. Outside food and nonalcoholic beverages are allowed.

At 8 p.m., Celeste Torrence, Noble Freeman, Daniel Miller and Blake Marduk will be at The Groundhog Day Theater, 6906 N. Oak Trafficway. Admission is $10 and the show is recommended for those 18 and older.

Gladstone Farmers Market will offer fresh produce, crafts, baked goods and other items from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. along the access street behind City Hall, located on the north side of Northeast 70th Street, next to the Linden Square bandstand and park.

The 2019 Fun in the Sun Kids Fest starts at 9 a.m. at Linden Square. The 2019 Fun in the Sun Kids Fest is a festival for children of all ages and features games, snacks, a D.J. and prizes.

The Drive-In at the Square starts at dusk. The movie is “The Lego Movie: the Second Part.” The event is free and some activities begin around 7 p.m.

From 10 to 11 a.m., a Life Improving Fitness Training class, designed to increase senior adults’ access to structured and effective strength training, meets at Northland Shepherd’s Center, 5601 NE Antioch Road. Matter of Balance class begins at 11:30 a.m. Call 452-4536 to register.

At noon, the dietitian at the Gladstone Hy-Vee, 7117 N Prospect Ave., will take shoppers on a free store tour to look at foods that may aid in diabetes management.
