Breakfast supports Down Syndrome Guild

The Elks Lodge in Gladstone is holding a fundraiser breakfast Saturday, Aug. 17, in support of the Down Syndrome Guild, which provides educational materials, bedding and other necessities to a family that has a child with Down Syndrome.

The seventh annual Down Syndrome Breakfast by the Elks Lodge of Gladstone will be from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 17, at 7010 N. Cherry St.

The event is open to the public.

The cost for the breakfast is $5 per adult and/or child. Proceeds from meal sales and raffle tickets will be donated to the Down Syndrome Guild of Kansas City. Funds are used to prepare educational materials for parents of a child diagnosed with Down Syndrome and to provide clothing and bedding items for the child.

The all-you-can-eat breakfast menu includes scrambled eggs, pancakes, ham, bacon, hash browns, biscuits, gravy and fresh fruit.
