Relay for Life of K.C. North

LIBERTY — A few hundred participants will likely take their place around the South Valley Middle School track at 1000 Midjay Drive from 6 to midnight, Saturday, June 22, for the Relay for Life of K.C. North. This is a larger races that consolidated smaller races through Clay County in recent years.

There will be an opening ceremony, survivor/caregiver walk as well as a luminaria ceremony that takes place after dusk where candles illuminate the track. The event ends with a closing ceremony and direction for work that needs to be done to fight cancer.

The Northland relay has a goal of raising $100,000 for American Cancer Society.
