Northland Early Education Center, 8630 N. Oak Trafficway, will host a mouse derby Sunday, Sept. 8.
The Northland Mouse Derby is a family-friendly event where guests will have the opportunity to bet on mice races, according to a press release.
There will be food and drinks available as well as a cash bar. Raffle prizes will also be available and the Chiefs game will be televised at the event.
Childcare will be available, provided by one the teachers. The festivities will take place at the newly renovated Northland Early Education Center. All money raised will go to support children with special needs in the community.
Admission is $5 for those over age 3. Children younger than 3 are free. The doors open at 2 p.m. with the first mice hitting the track at 2:30 p.m. The event ends at 5 p.m.
