B&B Theatres is planning an entertainment complex that includes a bowling alley and movie theater complex to be located at the northeast corner of Missouri Highway 152 and Platte Purchase Drive in Kansas City.

B&B Theatres plans to construct a state-of-the-art entertainment center on the northeast corner of Missouri Highway 152 and Platte Purchase Drive in Kansas City, a few blocks north of Gladstone’s northern boundary.

The Platte Purchase property will be similar to entertainment concepts found at the company’s flagship location in Ankeny, Iowa. The entertainment center will boast 12 lanes of bowling, each complemented by video walls and couches flanking tables for casual eating and drinks during games.

A full redemption arcade will sit adjacent to the lanes, featuring both new and classic arcade attractions. Players will be able to earn points during play that can be redeemed for prizes at the in-arcade redemption store.

B&B plans to incorporate its signature Marquee Bar and Grille into the mix, providing guests made-to-order food options and alcoholic beverages.

The center will also include an eight-screen movie theater.

“I am excited to bring this concept to our Kansas City guests,” President and CEO Bob Bagby said. “We’ve had great success at our Ankeny, Iowa Luxury Entertainment Center and can’t wait to unveil this concept in my hometown. We will also use this LEC as a B&B staff training center and as a place to try out new forms of entertainment in line with our plan to develop several similar complexes across the nation in the future.”

The opening is being planned around the holiday season of 2020.
