Marketplace tents, offering contacts with local businesses and civic organizations, will be located on the west side of the Gladstone Community Center on North Holmes Street during this year’s Gladfest.

Larger commercial vendors as well as food and beverages will be found along 70th Street and North Holmes. Arts and Crafts vendors, those with handmade items, will be located west of City Hall and south of the carnival. All vendor booths will be open Friday and Saturday, Oct. 1 and 2, during the festival.

Booth space is available on a first-come, first-paid basis. Applications are still being accepted for these vendors booths. For more details and applications, visit {a href=”http://gladstonechamber.com/gladfest” target=”_blank”}gladstonechamber.com/gladfest.

The chamber is also still looking for contestants for this year’s Little Mr. and Miss contests. These contests showcase Gladstone’s cutest residents aged 3 to 8.

Little Mr. & Miss Gladfest and Gladfest Prince and Princess contest participants will gather at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, at Linden Square. Winners from 2019’s festival are not eligible.

Each contestant will be asked to recite a poem or nursery rhyme or sing a song. Additionally, contestants are encouraged to dress for the theme “Game Time Fun for Me and You!”

Winners must be available to be in the festival parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2. There is no fee to enter and applications are available on the Gladstone chamber’s website.

The chamber is also looking for donations of items for goodie bags for the youth contestants. Each contestant will receive a bag filled with items for children. Donations sought are anything a child may like such as stickers, candy, small toys, crayons, books and games. All items must be donated to the chamber office by Friday, Sept. 24.
