The Gladstone Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 23, in Linden Square located at 602 NE 70th St., in the heart of downtown Gladstone.

The festivities begin at 6 p.m.

“Come be part of the evening by joining Gladstone Mayor R.D. Mallams, former Gladstone mayors and city council along with emcee Joe Lauria, Fox 4 meteorologist, for this holiday tradition,” states a release.

There will be performances by Antioch Middle School and Meadowbrook choirs. Santa will be on hand to hear children’s requests.

This annual holiday lighting serves as a visual symbol of Gladstone’s effort to assist those in need during the holiday season. Proceeds benefit Feed Northland Kids, Gladstone Neighbors Helping Neighbors and The Northland Christmas Store.
