The Northland Shepherd's Center's annual fundraiser is online this year due to concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic. For the next couple of weeks, there will a chance to be part of the fundraiser, which culminates with the celebratory barbecue Aug. 27.

Auction items can be viewed  at Bidding on the items begins Friday, Aug. 14, and runs through 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20. Tickets from the barbecue meal can also be purchased. Award-winning Chef Cory Booz will be preparing two meats, coleslaw and baked beans.

This annual fundraiser helps support enrichment programs and services for older adults living in the Northland. Pick-up of items won in the auction and purchased meals will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 27, curbside at the center, 5601 NE Antioch Road.

The honorary chairs for the event are Will and Ida May Willhaus and honorary business chair is Glen Smith of JD Lifescape Law and Development.
